Photos and Reviews of the Daradara matsuri festival

Shiba Daijingu is a shrine that was founded in 1005. It is just a short walk from Hamamatsucho Station or Daimon Station, and Zojoji Temple is also nearby.

The Daradara matsuri Festival is held annually from September 11 to 21. When I arrived at the shrine, it was bustling with the sounds of flutes and drums.

Afterwards, a large crowd gathered in front of the shrine, and the ceremony took place.

The Daradara matsuri Festival is also known as the Ginger Festival. In the past, a great deal of ginger was grown in this area, so it was offered at the shrine during festivals.

Ginger has a detoxifying effect. For this reason, it became a lucky charm for warding off evil.
