About Sengakuji Temple

It is a temple famous for the story of Chushingura. The graves of the loyal retainers are located within the temple grounds.

While the Gishi-sai (Loyal Retainers’ Festival) on December 14th is famous, a smaller-scale festival is also held in early April.

During the April festival, temple treasures are displayed in the main hall. Anyone can visit free of charge.
