Introduction to Zuikoji temple
Zuikoji Temple was founded in 1655. The founder, Gensei Shonin (1623-1668), was a leading priest of the Nichiren sect in the early Edo period. He was also famous as a poet.
At the entrance to the temple, there is a stone monument that says that meat and alcohol are not allowed inside the temple grounds.

The main hall has a thatched roof. The main image of the temple is a statue of Sakyamuni enshrined inside the hall.

This temple is just over a 10-minute walk from Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine. However, tourists rarely come here, so you can pray in peace and quiet.
Wash your money to improve your fortune

A white dragon is enshrined near the entrance to the temple grounds. Once you pass through the torii gate, you will find a water basin and a basket.

It is said that washing money here will bring you good fortune.

The washed money is placed in a protective charm bag and worn with care.

The White Dragon Ceremony is held every third Saturday of the month from 11:00 am. If you visit on this day, you will receive more benefits.
