Introduction to Daisenin temple

Daisenin is a sub-temple of Daitokuji Temple, founded in 1509. It is famous for its Hojo (main hall), which is designated as a national treasure of Japan, its fusuma paintings, which are designated as important cultural properties, and its beautiful dry landscape garden.
There is a “Premium Zazen Experience Course” for groups of 2 to 6 people. You can experience Zen meditation and matcha tea in a tea room that is usually closed to the public. You can also get a tour of the gardens. The participation fee is 12,000 yen per person.
There is also a “Zazen Experience Standard Course” for groups of 7 or more people. The participation fee is 5,000 yen per person.
