Seiganji Temple is located within the Shinkyogoku Shopping Arcade. As soon as I passed through the gate, the main hall was right in front of me, and I was free to enter it.
The principal image of the temple is the Amitabha, a gigantic Buddha statue measuring approximately 6.5 meters (21.3 ft). It was overwhelmingly powerful.

Kannon Bodhisattva (Avalokitesvara) was enshrined on the right side of the main hall. It is said that if you make a wish here in just a one word, it will come true, so I made a wish as well.

Seiganji Temple has long been revered as a temple that provides salvation to women. Famous historical women, such as Sei Shonagon and Izumi Shikibu, also visited to offer prayers.
There is a story handed down in which Izumi Shikibu appears as a bodhisattva and converses with the monk Ippen. This story has been adapted for various theatrical performances, and many people from the arts community visit Seiganji Temple.
