About Daishinji temple

This temple was founded in 1611. After relocating to its current site in 1635, it was completely destroyed by fire twice, but it was rebuilt and remains in existence today.

It has been known as the “Shamisen Temple” since the burial of Ishimura Genzaemon , who is considered the originator of shamisen making. The shamisen is a traditional Japanese three-stringed instrument. For this reason, people in the music industry often visit to pray.

It is famous as a cherry blossom viewing spot, and the blossoms are illuminated at night during the spring.
