Photos and reviews of Giant statue of Kannon
This temple features a giant statue of Kannon (Avalokitesvara) standing 24 meters (78.74 feet) tall.
After paying the entrance fee at the reception, I was first handed some incense stick. This temple was built in 1955 to commemorate those who lost their lives in the war. For this reason, I offered incense as an act of devotion.

And then, I took another look at the giant Kannon statue. Clad in a white coat, he was smiling gently.

This Kannon statue had an entrance at the back.

Upon entering, I found many Buddha statues enshrined there.

Other Highlights
A “Wish Stone” was enshrined within the temple grounds. As I touched this stone, I made a wish.

There was also a small hall enshrining Aizen-Myoo (Ragaraja). This place is said to bring good fortune in finding a romantic partner.

There was a large footprint of the Buddha.

The view from Kodaiji Temple
Kodaiji Temple is located next to Ryozen-Kannon. I was able to see the Kannon statue from these temple grounds as well.
