Shukubo (shrine stay)
Hisayamakan is located near the Chusya shrine of Togakushi Shrine.
There is an old stone monument at the entrance. In the past, this was used to indicate that criminals could not be arrested if they came to this place.
My family and I stayed overnight without meals, and the people at the shukubo were very calm and kind. The garden seen from the main hall was beautiful.
You can also enjoy Togakushi’s specialty soba noodles.
