Photos and Reviews of the Toka Ebisu Festival
Founded in 1202, this shrine is dedicated to Ebisu, a deity associated with business prosperity.

Every year, the Toka Ebisu (Ebisu Festival) is held from January 8th to 12th, centered around January 10th. I went to visit the shrine on this day.
The road in front of the shrine was bustling with many food stalls.

Stalls selling food and lucky charms were set up within the shrine grounds as well.

By the afternoon, there were many worshippers.

At this festival, bamboo branch believed to bring good fortune were distributed. The bamboo branch cost 3,500 yen.

I was able to choose and attach my favorite good-luck charms to this bamboo branch.

A shrine maiden dance was being performed.

On January 11th, I was able to receive a lucky bamboo branch from a maiko.
