Shukubo (temple stay)
Mitsugonji Temple is located halfway up the mountain in Awa Ikeda. Near Ikeda Dam, there is a road leading to the temple. From here, follow the winding mountain path up to reach the temple.
I haven’t stayed there yet, but I have visited. It was a little difficult to get to without a car. The parking space is at the entrance of the temple.
There was a youth hostel building on the left side of the main hall.
There was an observation deck with a nice view inside the temple grounds. I could see the mountains and the town at the foot of them.
If you stay here, you can experience goma (fire) prayer and meditation.
