Shukubo (temple stay)
The room was a 4.5 tatami mat Japanese-style room with air conditioning and a TV set. The sizes of the rooms vary. There are no yukata robes.
When they have individual guests, they do not open the large bath. They only use the small bath. At first, I was puzzled to see that there was no water in the bath, but they said that I was free to fill the water as I liked and I did so. There was a washing machine, although there was no dryer.
Shojin vegetarian cuisine
They served shojin vegetarian cuisine for dinner. The cooked vegetables were tasty. The dessert was a banana and plum jelly, which were good for me and helped me to recover from the fatigue.
There was a vending machine selling beer, so you are allowed to drink alcohol.
Memorial service
I hear that the memorial service is usually conducted in the evening. However, when I stayed there, the head priest was absent and no service was conducted.
In general, it was a clean, comfortable and friendly shukubo.
