Introduction to Seki-Zenkoji Temple
This temple began as a small hermitage built in 1745. It is called Seki-Zenkoji, but its official name is Sokyuji.
The main hall houses an incarnation of the principal image of Zenkoji Temple in Nagano Prefecture. Also, just like Zenkoji Temple, there is a Kaidanmeguri (Walking in the Dark) in the basement.
Shukubo (temple stay)
There is a shukubo on the temple grounds that only accepts one group per day. The guest room is calming Japanese-style room with toilet and bath.
There is also a terrace in front of the guest room, offering a tranquil view of the town and the mountains.
Cafe
The Shukubo has a cafe attached. There are tatami-floored seating and table seating, with a total capacity of five groups.
The menu includes specially selected coffee, cakes and light meals. You can spend some time relaxing while looking at the temple scenery.
