Syonenji temple stay (Miyazaki)
Syonenji Temple was founded in 1578. The shukubo is hosted by the wife of the head priest, who is from England. The rooms combine Japanese and Nordic styles and feature works by local artisans. You can participate in morning sutra chanting and bell ringing experiences. -

Tsushima-Seizanji temple stay (Nagasaki)
Tsushima is an isolated island located between Kyushu, Japan and Korea. It is also famous as the setting for the video game "Ghost of Tsushima." Tsushima-Seizanji Temple has its origins in the 8th century. I practiced zen meditation in the main hall. After sitting quietly for about 20 minutes, I felt calm. -

Fukinoto temple stay (Oita)
Fukiji Temple is said to have been founded in 718. The main hall retains its ancient architectural style and is designated as a national treasure of Japan. There is a shukubo called Fukinoto on the temple grounds. I didn't stay the night, but I had the buddhist vegetarian cuisine lunch. -

Hokkein-Onsen-Sanso temple stay (Oita)
The temple has its origins in 1324 and began as Hokkein Hakusuiji Temple in 1470. Although it was destroyed by fire in 1882, it was reopened as an inn. There is a hot spring, which is said to be effective in treating neuralgia, poor circulation, and fatigue. -

Monjusenji temple stay (Oita)
Monjusenji Temple is an ancient temple with a history of about 1,300 years. Guest room was once where the lord stayed. I experienced mountain training, goma (fire) prayer, zen meditation, and copying sutras. The meal was Buddhist vegetarian cuisine. I was also taught how to practice food. -
Saga-stay
Jitokuan temple stay (Saga)
Jitokuan was founded around the 15th century. The room I stayed in was a Japanese-style room with two adjoining rooms, one 8 tatami mats and the other 6 tatami mats. In the main hall I was able to practice zazen and copy sutras. There was a painting of a dragon on the ceiling. -
Oita-stay
Zuikoji OotaniKaikan temple stay (Oita)
The water here is a sodium chloride hot spring and its temperature is 80 degree at the water outlet. If you wish, you will be able to participate in the service. it has now become a sightseeing spot for the walking tour in Kannawa Hot Spring in Beppu.
